Owlyfi Referral System
The Owlyfi Referral System enables you to earn rewards by inviting other traders. It features a transparent, multi-tier structure offering both direct (L1) and indirect (L2) commissions, as well as trading fee discounts for the users you invite. Referral commissions apply to both copy trading and other trading bots, and are settled every hour.
Referral Tiers & Rewards
Your referral tier is automatically determined by the total trading fees (commissions) generated by the users you have directly invited (L1). As their generated fees grow, your tier upgrades, unlocking higher commission rates, larger invite caps, and better discounts for your referees.
Referral commissions are calculated using the full fee rate of the strategy being used. For example, copy trading currently uses 5.5 bps, while other trading bots currently use 2 bps.

The referral system is currently in its early stages. Owly reserves the right to adjust reward ratios and rules to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform.
How Referee Discounts Work
When a new user signs up using your referral code, they receive a trading fee discount for their first 30 days.
- The discount rate depends on your tier at the time of their registration (e.g., 5% to 15% fee reduction).
- Automatic application: Discounts are directly applied to the trading fees on-chain. Referees do not need to manually claim any discount rebates; they simply pay lower fees upfront.
Referral Attribution
Owly follows a First-Touch Attribution policy to ensure fair rewards for the original referrer:
- Logic: A user’s referrer is determined by the first referral link they click.
- Persistent Binding: Once a user has visited Owly via a referral link, that referrer’s code is “locked in” for that user.
- No Overwriting: Even if the user subsequently clicks a referral link from a different person, they will still be registered under the original referrer upon signing up.
Earnings & Settlement
Hourly Settlement
Referral commissions are calculated and settled every hour. The system snapshots trading activity and distributes rewards to your referral balance. Note that commissions are calculated on the full fee rate of the underlying strategy, unaffected by the discount granted to the referee. This applies to both copy trading and other trading bots.
Withdrawals
- Navigate to your Referral Dashboard.
- Ensure your available balance is at least $1 (minimum withdrawal).
- Submit a withdrawal request.
- Processing: Your withdrawal goes into a
pending state for security review. Once approved by our team, the funds will be batch-transferred directly to your on-chain wallet address via Hyperliquid.

How It Works
Suppose you are at Normal tier and invite Alice (L1), who in turn invites Bob (L2).
If Alice and Bob each generate $10,000 in copy trading volume in a given hour, the copy trading fee is 5.5 bps each:

Rewards accumulate in your referral balance every hour and can be withdrawn once you reach the $1 minimum.
If invited users trade through other Owly trading bots, those fees also generate referral commissions using the bot’s applicable fee rate. For example, a bot charging 2 bps would calculate rewards from that 2 bps fee base instead of the 5.5 bps copy trading fee base.
Anti-Fraud & Eligibility
To ensure fairness and prevent manipulation:
- Self-referrals (using multiple accounts owned by the same entity) are strictly prohibited and will be detected by our system.
- Standard anti-sybil checks apply to validate the authenticity of invited users.
- Accounts found violating the referral rules may have their referral status invalidated and rewards forfeited.
